The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention informed the public that since "May 18, more than 12,500 Americans had died from an opioid overdose in 2017 alone. This is more than double the number of reported deaths from gun violence this year so far."
Educating, motivating and preventing youth from experimenting with drugs is the key to stopping the Opioid Epidemic from spreading. During RAP's Drug Prevention Assembly, the motivational speaker will explain how one can become addicted, the harsh reality drug users face and all of the hidden dangers.
The presenter will communicate reasons for avoiding alcohol, and other addictive substances, and how to steer away from peer-pressure situations. The presenter will emphasize the infinite benefits of living a healthy and clean life.
The entire assembly has music, rapping, and dancing throughout the performance. All music, language and demonstrations are appropriate for grades 3-12.
